Welcoming of people and esteemed pilgrims, contributions of philanthropists, and trusting in God and imams led to the construction of a new hospital with goals of:
In 1985, construction of the seven-storey Clinic of Charity Musa ibn Jafar was initiated in the vicinity of the holy shrine of Imam Reza with the contribution of the public and philanthropists. The clinic was exploited in 1991 with 300 approved beds and 220 active beds with an area of 6500 m2 and total floor area of 12,000 m2.
Since the beginning, the hospital has equipped and established public and specialized wards, including general surgeries, maternity ward (with 35 physicians and 24 midwives, as well as a suitable environment, this is one of the most active wards of the hospital. Currently, painless childbirth is carried out by experienced personnel), ear, nose and throat, neurology, dialysis, NICU, ICU, CCU, cardiovascular and emergency, which have welcomed thousands of pilgrims with tariffs below the government rates.
In 1997, the open heart surgery ward and the relevant ICU were established in the hospital, which made it one of the most comprehensive non-government hospitals in Mashhad. Therefore, the hospital has been welcomed by the public, and approximately 2000 surgeries are successfully performed in the hospital under the supervision of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences with minimum tariffs. It is notable that the donation goals of the hospital have always been considered by the board of directors and board of trustees. In this regard, efforts have been dedicated to observing treatment standards along with the modern medical sciences and adhering to government-approved tariffs so that extra help could be provided to the vulnerable strata of the society through the social work unit.
The greatest honor of this charity institution is proximity to the holy shrine of Imam Reza and making efforts to treat its pilgrims, especially underprivileged individuals. Certainly, the hospital services have been provided at the highest quality and quantity, and we will continue to provide the same services in the future with the kindness of Imam Musa ibn Jafar and the help of God.
It is notable that today, the hospital provides services to 16,000 hospitalized patients and 300,000 outpatients via the clinic annually. Despite all financial constraints, we have always attempted to adhere to the lowest tariffs possible (government tariffs) so that no financial burden is imposed on our clients, who mostly come from the vulnerable strata of the community. In addition, considering the mission of the charity institution, considerable discounts and free treatments are provided to poverty-stricken people through our social work unit, which is one of the honors of the hospital.
